The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted sharply after the vote on the law to protect the governor of the Bank of Albania, describing it as an attempt by Prime Minister Edi Rama to protect himself and his people.
In a public statement, Berisha described the situation as unprecedented in history and a sign of an "absolute regime," emphasizing that the law aims to create special protection for government officials.
"Unprecedented in history! Absolute regime! Friends, today Edi Rama voted for the law to protect the governor of the Bank when he steals! In fact, he has the law for himself!"
In Orwell's 'Animal Farm', all animals are equal, but pigs are more equal than others!
"It is more honest for Edi Rama to legalize theft than to make special laws for his own protection and that of his "pigs"!" - writes Berisha. /LAPSI.al
