
SPAK reacted after the arrest of Ergys Agas.
NOTICE
After several weeks of work in close cooperation with the specialized operational structures of the State Police and the National Bureau of Investigation, today, 26.8.2026, it was possible to arrest citizen Ergys Agasi, at the southern entrance to the city of Durrës, in the Plepave area, on the highway. At the time of the arrest, this citizen was accompanied by citizen U. Sh, a former police officer, who was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Supporting the perpetrator of a crime" provided for by article 302/2 of the Criminal Code.
The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime continues the investigations into criminal proceedings no. 20/1 of 2025, for which, on 05.12.2025, it also registered the name of citizen Ergys Agasi. This citizen is being investigated for committing the following criminal offenses: "Unlawful competition through violence", "Unlawful deprivation of liberty", "Violation of equality of participants in tenders or public auctions" committed in the special form of cooperation of the structured criminal group and the "Structured criminal group", "Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group", as well as "Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity" provided for by Articles 110, 170/be 28/4, 258, 287 and 333/a and 334 of the Criminal Code, "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions", committed in cooperation, more than once, provided for by Article 244, paragraph two of the Criminal Code.
The person under investigation, specifically citizen Ergys Agasi, by decision no. 125 dated 15.12.2025, of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, has been assigned the security measure "arrest in prison", provided for by article 238 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The court's decision has been immediately sent to be executed by the State Police structures with letter no. 43104 prot, dated 17.12.2025.
The Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime thanks the State Police for the successful completion of the operation.
