The investigations have taken a turn after the arrest by the Greek EKAM special forces of a 43-year-old Albanian man, convicted of a double murder in 2020 in Greece and suspected of being a hitman.
He was initially identified as Nikolin Pali, 43, known in Greece as Niko. Greek police said that, in addition to the double murder, he was also wanted in Albania for “armed robbery,” committed in collaboration and remaining in the attempted stage, while a search of his apartment in Greece found pistols and grenades.
Sources close to the Greek police indicate that the arrested person is suspected of being a wanted person in Albania, convicted of murder. He is citizen Fran Preldakaj, alias Zef Preldakaj, 44 years old.
The police have launched an in-depth investigation into the suspect, as operational information implicates him in serious criminal events in both countries and, for this reason, several events from recent years are being investigated./ TCH
