Students threw chairs at the door of the Prime Minister's Office, Rama asks

Prime Minister Edi Rama is not giving up on his demand for dialogue with students and teachers. This Thursday, Rama has changed the way he addresses protesters. A day after young people broke and threw chairs placed as a symbol of an invitation to dialogue towards the door of the Prime Minister's Office, the head of government has used stones with the word "Dialogue" written on them.

The development comes on the tenth day of anti-government protests, as students, high school students and teachers continue to demand the prime minister's resignation. The day before, protesters gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where they again rejected Rama's invitation for dialogue. Meanwhile, teachers have begun a boycott of teaching at public universities, declaring that they will not withdraw from the protest until their demand for Rama's resignation is met.

Six decisions signed by the AMA on October 30, for alleged violations of ethical standards and broadcasting statements that, according to the authority, incite hatred or justify violence. The fines have opened a debate on the limits of freedom of expression and the responsibility of television stations, while journalists see them as a form of pressure that risks encouraging self-censorship in studios and editorial offices.
