Berisha: I mobilized people all summer for the "Flamingo" protest

Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha says he has been working all summer to mobilize people for protests in support of young people and citizens who are demanding the overthrow of Prime Minister Edi Rama's government. According to him, the DP has also participated in the 'Flamingove' protests.

"Protests are my passion. I have held meetings every day and have not taken a day off during the summer, mobilizing people to lead them to protest. With full respect to the citizens and young people who had risen in the most beautiful and magnificent way, I had the greatest admiration.

"If they were to overthrow Edi Rama, I would feel the greatest satisfaction, because I am a patriot. The Prime Minister belongs to those who overthrow the government. I have never worked for a protest as much as for the flamenco one," Berisha said on the "Opinion" show.

The DP leader also spoke about the student protests, declaring that he has made a "silent peace" with those who do not support the opposition "for the common good."

Berisha said that he personally will not participate in any of the protests organized in support of the students, so as not to turn it into politics.

"The most dangerous enemy is the one who turns his back. Those who shout slogans against us are our enemies. In this battle, the enemy of my enemy is my ally. With students, it's a different story.

I did not go and I will not go, because it is a student protest and the DP stands in their support. When I appeared, for some reason, that protest took on the connotation of Sali Berisha. We are inside the protest. There are hundreds of young people from the FRPD and GRUD", said Berisha. /tvklan.al
