This time, Arben Ahmetaj's denunciation focused on the discovery of wiretaps of Ron Yeffet, Edi Rama's close friend, who negotiates the sale of Albanian properties, without tender and without competition. In his interview with Çim Peka, Ahmetaj exposed parts of a three-hour wiretap, for a conversation that took place in January 2026 between Yeffet, who he calls English-speaking Gys Agasi, and three other people Igor, Tatjana and Sergei.
The scheme is simple: To avoid competition and scrutiny by the State Supreme Audit Office, the government puts its assets into joint ventures with Rama's Jewish friend. And then they do whatever they want with these assets. At its center are two affairs: the sale of weapons manufactured in Africa and packaged in Albania, to be sold in conflict zones, and secondly, the laundering of the gas fields in Delvina.
An interesting moment is when Ron Yeffet tells his interlocutors: “The company will be American so that we can shut up the American embassy”. He is clear about how competitions and tenders will be avoided by manipulating the establishment of Kayo-type companies (read below how Kayo works), in Albania, while the interlocutors say that in the Ukrainian government the purchase of military vehicles and equipment cannot go without competition. A crucial moment is when Ron Yeffet tells his interlocutors: “we have been tasked by the Albanian government to do the bad (read dirty) work”.
The principle of the 5 wiretaps made public by Ahmetaj is the control of public assets and making money with them through people to whom Edi Rama gives power above the law, such as Ron Eyffet, to whom the prime minister previously wanted to give management of the country's foreign debt and the Albanian embassy building in New York.
Since January of this year, former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj has cast serious doubts on Edi Rama regarding the role of his Jewish friend, controversial businessman Ron Yeffet, in the state-owned arms company KAYO, describing it as an instrument built to transfer public property of the Armed Forces into private hands.

Dalë ngadalë dolën faktet që lidheshin me një kompani të prodhimit të makinave të themeluar nga një vajzë shqiptare, e quajtur Arjeta Puca (foto poshte), e ardhur nga emigrimi në Turqi. Ajo është promovuar nga vetë kryeministri madje ka rrëfyer në podkastin e Edi Ramës historinë e suksesit të saj, që nisi nga dyqani ku i ati punonte si hidraulik.
Kompania e Arjeta Pucës, që mbante emrin Timak, papritur, një ditë të bukur të qershorit të 2025-ës vendosi të shesë 49% të aksioneve së saj. Deri këtu gjithçka duket normale. Deri sa emri i shitëses të promovuar nga shefi i qeverisë u asociua me atë të blerësit, mikut të Ramës Ron Yeffet. Pyetja e parë që të shkonte në mendje ishte: ç' ne kjo vajzë, që sa do rritje të shpejtë të ketë pasur, sërish gjendet në hpat e parë të biznesit të prodhimiit të konstruksioneve metalike dhe atyre plastike, të lidhej me një biznesmen të sprovuar hebre.
Përgjigjja do të merrej vesh më vonë. Vetëm një muaj e gjysëm pas shitjes së dyshimtë, pra në fillim të gushtit, kompania e Pucës dhe Yeffetit krijoi një shoqëri të përbashkët me ndërmarrjen shtetrore të prodhimit të armëve, Kayo të drejtuar nga ish kreu i policisë së shtetit, Ardi Veliu. "Deal-i" shënohet në kontratë, privatët 80% shteti 20%.
Pra le të shohim trekëndëshin e krijuar. Arjeta Puca, një investitore në hapat e para që promovohet si model suksesi nga Edi Rama. Ardi Veliu, një ish polic, sa analfabet, po aq edhe besnik, i mbrojtur po nga ai. Dhe i treti, i njohur si mik i kryeministrit.
Po pse këtë të fundit e marrim si të mirqenë si të afërt me Ramën, mund të pyesë dikush.
Në intervistat e tij të mëparshme Arben Ahmetaj ka denoncuar se Rama i ka kërkuar që Ron Yeffetit ti shitej borxhi i jashtëm i Shqipërisë. Po ashtu i njëjti ka tentuar të hyjë si aksioner të krijimin e kompanisë ajrore Air Albania, duke blerë fillimisht 23% të aksioneve, por nga kjo nismë ai u largua shpejt. Pastaj tentoi të përfshihej në rrëmbimin e godinës të ambasadës shqiptare në Neë York, e cila synohej që sipas skemës të përdorur edhe këtu, ta përdorte atë si kullë për të shitur apartamente, brenda të cilave do strehohej edhe vetë ambasada.
So, this foreign businessman, best known in the circle of Edi Rama's courtiers, who has also made economic agreements with leaders of African countries, managed to get into the state business of the Ministry of Defense. The allusion made by Deputy Prime Minister Ahmetaj is that such a thing is being done for two reasons: firstly "for the diversion of state budget funds". He added: "The state loses the right of veto. The Supreme Audit Office can no longer audit any such subsidiary company. Public property is turned into private capital without any privatization procedure. And private companies under the umbrella of KAYOS receive military contracts without a tender".
While the second goal is to justify the seizure of state-owned military properties and use them for private interests. To illustrate this, Ahmetaj brought to attention the case of the signing of an agreement between Ardi Veliu's Kayo and the Israelis of Elbit Systems Ltd, for the establishment of the Aviation Academy.
"The Aviation Academy in Vlora without aviation with a helicopter, you understand? But it's not about that, but about the terrain and the asset," Ahmetaj said at the time about this property located in the middle of the city.
Now with the new wiretaps, Ahmetaj has highlighted another eminence grise of Rama's which he is using as a shield to trade without accountability the assets that remain to Albania.
