The Tirana Police announced that following the report made by citizen EM, that at the gate of his apartment, in the village of Gërdec near Vora, he had found a cartridge and a letter with threatening content for his life and that of his family, with the intention of giving him the sum of 300,000 euros, the specialists of the Police Commissariat No. 7, in cooperation with the specialists of the Serious Crimes Investigation Section under the direction of the Prosecution, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Message" with the aim of identifying the perpetrator and documenting the case.
Police say that investigations revealed that the author of the threat was AM, 56 years old, a resident of Vora.
"Through threats to his life, this citizen has demanded from his cousin, citizen EM, the payment of the amount of 300,000 euros, also threatening his family members. During the search of his apartment, combat ammunition, clothing used during the incident and 1 mobile phone were found and seized as material evidence. Work continues on the full documentation of the case.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for the criminal offenses of "Coercion by Threat to Give Up Property" and "Unauthorized Possession and Production of Weapons, Explosives and Ammunition" - the police statement states. ©LAPSI.al
