José Mourinho's Real Madrid are taking shape, but what caught the eye during the last friendly against Schalke 04 was his black eye: the Portuguese appeared on the bench with a large bruise around his right eye, impossible not to be noticed by the fans watching the match. This time, however, there is no history of arguments or fights in the dressing room, as happened in the case of Tchouameni and Valverde at the end of last season, but it is a small incident in the training center, which caused the coach a fortunately harmless injury, as he prepares to begin his second adventure with the Blancos.
Why Mourinho had a black eye
When the Portuguese entered the Veltins-Arena, he surprised the audience with a very visible bruise under his right eye, which immediately attracted everyone's curiosity. Mourinho looked as if he had just come out of a fight, but in reality he was simply the protagonist of an unfortunate incident in training, which threatened to cause him an even more serious injury. As he himself revealed after the match, he was hit in the face by a ball thrown by one of his players, while he was in the training center, of course completely unintentionally.

Mourinho appeared in an interview with a black eye
The blow left a mark just below his right eye: it remains so visible because at the time the Portuguese was wearing sunglasses, which, exerting pressure on his face, left him with a very large and dark bruise, which will take several weeks to disappear. Nothing too dangerous, but in the end Mourinho managed with a minor and not very worrying injury, which will accompany him in his second debut on the Real Madrid bench, scheduled for Saturday, August 22, in the transfer against Espanyol.
