An impressive Roma beat Fiorentina 4-0 and sent a clear message to the championship: for the championship title race, the yellow and reds are definitely there. At the head of Gasperini's team are Dybala and Malen, authors of an extraordinary performance: three assists for the Argentine, three goals for the Dutchman, who starts the new season by giving continuity to the goals scored last season. The fourth goal of Roma was scored by Pisilli at the end. Too bad, on the contrary, Fiorentina, with Mastantuono in the shadow and a defense that to call it shaky would be an understatement. Pellegrino was served very little and very badly, while Kean, destined to be transferred to Como, played only about half an hour, without leaving a trace.
High tempo from the first half, with Dybala extremely active. Even the new acquisition of the yellows, Mora, tries to worry de Gea, who nevertheless shows himself ready to hit with the right, with an arc, of the Portuguese. Just before the half hour of the game, the yellows manage to unblock the match: another explosion of Dybala, who serves Malen in the penalty area, the Dutchman dribbles Dodo with his heel and beats de Gea for 1-0 in the 27th minute. Fiorentina finds it difficult to react and the first half ends with the team led by Gasperini in a one-goal advantage.
In the second half, things did not change and in the 52nd minute the Dybala-Malen combination was repeated: another assist from the Argentine, while the Dutchman challenged Ranieri and finished the action with a powerful left-footed shot, which made it 2-0. In the 60th minute the scenario was repeated: Dybala's third assist and Malen's hat-trick, with the two Roma talents completely dominating the attacking phase and the match. Grosso tried to play the Kean card in the last half hour, but the Tuscans were unable to recover after the hat-trick suffered. In the end, there was also space for Pisilli, who came off the bench and scored the fourth goal in the 86th minute. Roma won 4-0 and responded strongly to the other big teams thanks to the explosive Malen-Dybala duo, while Fiorentina was postponed until later.
BOLOGNA 0-1 LAZIO
In the first round of Serie A comes another away victory, Lazio triumphs 1-0 at the “Dall'Ara” against Bologna. The first half is quite blocked between Tedesco's team and Gattuso's, with neither team wanting to expose themselves too much. The white and blues lose Marusic due to injury shortly after the first quarter, while Floriani Mussolini debuts in his place. In the 30th minute, Boulaye Dia comes out alone against Skorupski and scores the advantage, but the goal is canceled for offside. The former Salernitana striker then gets involved in a duel with El Azzouz, while Maresca decides to punish both of them with a yellow card. In the 38th minute, the first chance comes for the Emilian team, but Odgaard's shot after a corner does not bring 1-0. The first half ends goalless and in complete balance.
At the beginning of the second half, Odgaard is again dangerous, but Mandas, with a great save, saves the goal after the Dane's header. Just before the 60th minute, the episode that changes the game comes: a one-touch combination between the newly introduced Frattesi and Dia, with the Senegalese kicking the former Inter player into the goal with his heel, who scores 1-0 in the 59th minute. Tedesco changes everything in attack by activating Rowe, Bernardeschi and Dovbyk, but the players introduced fail to make a difference. Lazio starts on the right foot, taking the three points thanks to Frattesi, while Bologna is defeated at home on its debut.
