The State Cadastre Agency will launch a new approach to dealing with housing that lacks ownership documentation. Through dedicated and mobile teams, Cadastre specialists will go directly to the field, contacting residents and handling cases door-to-door.
The Director General of the State Cadastre Agency, Lorena Goxhobelli, announced that the process will initially start in the country's villages and will then extend to urban areas.
"The Cadastre will treat housing without ownership documentation with a different approach. Through dedicated and mobile teams, we will come to your village in an organized manner. In other words, the Cadastre goes door to door," said Goxhobelli.
According to her, Cadastre teams will knock on every apartment, regardless of whether citizens have previously applied to this institution or not. Specialists will conduct field measurements, verify and clarify documentation, while for each case that meets the legal criteria, the relevant decision will be made, which will be sent to the citizen directly through the e-Albania platform.
Another important element of this process will be the continuous presence of teams in the areas where the work is being carried out. This will allow residents to communicate directly with specialists and be clearly informed about the stage their file is in.
The process will be transparent even after the completion of the work in each area. The State Cadastre Agency will publish the status of all treated apartments, making it clear which of them have been provided with a decision, which cases require the completion of the file with documents that the Cadastre cannot provide itself, such as proof of inheritance, as well as cases where the teams have not been able to access the apartment.
In this way, every citizen will be clearly informed about the status of their case and the steps they need to take next.
The process begins tomorrow in Palasa, where Cadastral teams will stay for a week, with the aim of addressing all housing without ownership documentation in this area. The initiative will then continue in other villages across the country.
The State Cadastral Agency has called on the residents of Palasa to cooperate with specialists in the field, to notify family members, relatives and neighbors, and to ensure that during the teams' visit there is a person in the apartment to receive them.
