Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has reacted to the statements made the day before by former fugitive Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, who, among other things, accused Edi Rama's government of arms trafficking. In a reaction on social media, he writes that the published facts and evidence show that the government is involved in international arms trafficking and that Ron Yeffet, the Prime Minister's friend, linked to the KAYO company, admits to being hired for dirty work.
"The audiotap talks about weapons that will be produced in Africa, but will be packaged in Albania, and then sold in Ukraine. And this is international arms trafficking. A serious crime, with the knowledge and power of Edi Rama. All through the state-owned company KAYO, which is actually controlled by Ron Yeffet, and the state only has 20 percent of the shares.
It is Rama's friend Yeffet himself who admits in this communication that he agreed, that is, was hired by Edi Rama precisely to do dirty work. So for work like this of arms trafficking.", writes Këlliçi. He demands that Prime Minister Rama and the Minister of Defense immediately resign and that SPAK should immediately launch investigations. "The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Albania must write his resignation tonight. Prime Minister Edi Rama must write his resignation right after his suicide minister. SPAK must urgently launch in-depth investigations! ", he adds.
