In his interview from Switzerland with journalist Çim Peka, former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj has released audio recordings that, according to him, reveal an alleged scheme of abuse of public funds, looting of state assets and international arms trafficking. At the center of his denunciations are businessman Ron Yefet, the company Timak Defense and what Ahmetaj calls the 'KAYO concept'.
Excerpts from the exclusive interview:
ÇIM PEKA: We are back in the second part with Arben Ahmetaj, we are live from Switzerland. I have introduced it, there is a lot of talk about the new evidence that Mr. Ahmetaj possesses and has undertaken to make public.
It's about an audio recording. Ahmetaj, I don't want to ask you the way every journalist in Albania is asked what he will and won't do, because mostly the regime's journalists ask 'where did you get it', but that doesn't interest me at all. What does this audio recording mean to you?
ARBEN AHMETAJ: You can ask me where I found it, my answer would be that I am not authorized, but you didn't ask me, so I am not answering you.
ÇIM PEKA: I don't even need it. What matters is that it is authentic, it cannot be disputed.
ARBEN AHMETAJ: They could take hundreds and hundreds of specialists. There is also another interception in Monaco, three hours, where the head of the organization is the headline.

I want to explain in advance. Ron Yefeti is the owner of 49% of the company Timak sh.pk. Timak today owns 80% of the company Timak Defense, while 20% is owned by KAYO. So, we have denounced the KAYO concept. You will hear in the audio recording, the KAYO concept as a criminal concept extends today to all the financial veins of the state in a criminal manner.
ÇIM PEKA: What year is the audio recording from?
ARBEN AHMETAJ: It's from January 2026. This year. So, Ron Yefeti has Timak Special Vehicles that change their name from MAN to Land Cruiser, change it to Skhimpi, Timak Defense and others. Funny.
