A collection of portraits painted by former US President George W. Bush is on display at a museum in Columbus, Ohio. The exhibit, titled "Portraits of Courage," includes paintings in which Bush pays tribute to those who served on September 11.
Columbus has become the second city in the entire country to host this exposition, which will last until the end of the year.
"These impressive portraits, painted by President Bush, are a lasting tribute to the men and women who answered their country's call to service. We invite all Americans to visit the exhibit and see these moving portraits that capture their courage and sacrifice," said Dr. Frederick Bertley, Executive Director of the National Veterans Memorial and Museum.
At the same time, more than 40 paintings by the former president were exhibited at the University of Maine.
The other exhibit, which lasted just one day, was organized as a fundraiser at the seaside church of St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Kennebunkport, which the Bush family has reportedly visited every summer for generations.
Proceeds from the George W. Bush exhibit will fund repairs to the shrine and breakwater caused by storms in January 2024. ©LAPSI.al
