Vlera Gjakova was recently appointed by Prime Minister Edi Rama as a media advisor. She was born in North Macedonia, and about 8 years ago she joined Albin Kurti's Vetevendosje Movement. In the 2019 parliamentary elections, Gjakova was a candidate for MP under the banner of this political force.
But beyond her political engagement, a recent television interview is coming back into focus for the unusual statements she made regarding aliens and the origins of humanity.
During the interview, Gjakova stated that "it is only a matter of decades until humanity becomes acquainted with extraterrestrials, adding that they may have been part of the history of civilization since its beginnings. She also mentioned conspiracy theories about the origin of humanity, claiming that the white race may not be of terrestrial origin, but rather have been created in a laboratory." /LAPSI.al
