Edmond Ahmeti was appointed Secretary General of the Central Election Commission on Monday, following the completion of an open public competition procedure for this position.
With a legal background and experience in public administration, Ahmeti has held various positions, most recently serving as Director of Legislation at the Ministry of Finance. He takes on the role of Secretary General of the CEC at a key period for the Electoral Administration, on the eve of the election year and the intensive phase of preparations for the upcoming local elections in 2027.
