Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha has reacted after accompanying a number of protesters to the rally held in front of the prime minister's office on Tuesday. According to Berisha, the arrests were made on the orders of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"Tonight Edi Rama severely provoked peaceful protesters from his office and ordered the narco-police to attack them without any motive with sticks, kicks, water cannons and other means. Some protesters were injured by police violence, others were forcibly taken to the police station without any reason.
"The Democratic Party, expressing its solidarity with the youth-citizen protest, condemns with the greatest force the savage violence ordered by Padrino against the protesters and demands the immediate release of the persons escorted by the police," says Berisha in a reaction. ©LAPSI.al
