An unusual situation has been created in the High Prosecutorial Council, as the process for selecting candidates for the position of Prosecutor General continues.
According to sources, the KLP has met again today, while members are facing a series of requests for exclusion, which have created an unusual situation within the Council. It all started at the last KLP meeting, when the candidate for Prosecutor General, Ylli Pjeternikaj, requested the exclusion of Vat Staka from the procedure. After that, the requests followed one after another. Vat Staka requested the exclusion of Zeqir Hoda, Hoda requested the exclusion of Sokol Stojan, while Stojan requested the exclusion of the KLP chairperson, Mirela Bogdani.
In his request, Stojani raises claims about the impartiality of the chairwoman and requests that Bogdani not participate in the management, review, discussion and voting of the requests for exclusion. Thus, today's meeting of the KLP takes place amidst a chain of requests for exclusion: Pjeternikaj requested the exclusion of Staka, Staka of Hoda, Hoda of Stojani and Stojani of Chairwoman Bogdani.
