Macabre crime in Austria/ 24-year-old Albanian woman is killed with a hammer by

A serious incident occurred in Graz, Austria, where a 24-year-old Albanian woman was found dead in the apartment where she lived with her partner.

The victim has been identified as Abigel Laçi, originally from Vlora. According to local media reports, the young woman is suspected of being killed after being hit with a hammer, and the perpetrator of the murder is suspected to be her partner's brother.

The incident occurred at noon on Thursday, September 3, in an apartment in the center of Graz. Police were notified at around 12:40 and, upon arriving at the apartment, found the 24-year-old woman without any signs of life. Authorities say she died at the scene as a result of her injuries.

Following the incident, police arrested a 23-year-old man on the steps of the building, who, according to witnesses, was covered in blood. In an initial statement, authorities said the young man had family ties to the victim. It was later revealed that he was the brother of Abigel Laçi's partner.

Preliminary investigation data suggests that the 23-year-old went to the apartment alone and forced his way in. At that moment, Abigel was alone in the apartment, as her partner was not there.

Investigators suspect that a hammer was used as a tool in the crime. Due to the ongoing investigation, authorities have not released all details of the incident.

The suspect chose to remain silent during questioning and did not provide any explanations regarding the incident or possible motive. He is being investigated on suspicion of murder.

Meanwhile, an autopsy has been performed on the 24-year-old's body, while investigations continue by specialists who are working to clarify the circumstances and motive of the incident. Up to this stage, authorities have not officially confirmed a motive. /Taken from TCH
