Berisha speaks from the US: The "non grata" declaration was lobbied by

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, who is on a visit to the US where he participated in President Trump's Republican Party Convention, spoke to 'Çim Peka LIVE' on SYRI TV.

Berisha has indicated that the decision against him was taken after the corrupt watering down of Edi Rama and Soros, because he had opposed Soros' projects.

"Without a doubt, from the first day I decided to stand against this unimaginable and deeply unjust decision, I was convinced that justice would triumph. I never doubted that this day would not come. Because the simplest reason was that I had every fact, every piece of evidence that the decision was totally corrupt lobbying by Edi Rama and George Soros, and that there was absolutely no document or solid fact.

And I was convinced, I was convinced that one day, one way or another, she would be removed. I chose a path, which is now proven to be the fairest, I chose the judicial path. But even though in some ways it seemed more feminine, more difficult, it proved that I was 100% right. Why was I 100% right.

In this process, I have some very special gratitudes. I have a great gratitude to the American congressman Lee Zeldin, who told him to his face, that you have no facts, no documents about Sali Berisha, but you made the decision based, instigated by Soros. There was one, a journalist from the Washington Times, who took this problem very seriously, and what did he do, what did he find?

State Department employees found, they told me, he says, that Berisha's procedure is unique. In what sense? In the sense that it did not go through the official channels that it should go through, but it came to us from above. It came from above, which means that it was received directly from Secretary of State Blinken.

"I was convinced that an injustice could not last long. I had no doubt about that," Berisha said.

"This time I chose the path of dignity. Really. For 8 years, I had not held any official position in the leadership of the Democratic Party or the country.

I had as much moral authority as I could and I dealt, as you may have noticed from those statements and my statuses, with the national interest, the national issue, and with organized crime, drugs. All this with words, convinced that I was defending the public interest.

Now, I had opposed Soros' projects as genuine anti-Albanian projects in my opinion. So there was a retaliation because of Soros' lobbying and Rama said, if you remember in 2019 when he told me that 'you can't cross the Atlantic', he said that 'he has conspired against the foreign policy of the United States'. Me conspiracy? I never had.

I opposed a project that was absolutely not from the State Department, it was not the division of the exchange of territories at all, it was a project prepared by an NGO in Belgrade and served. The Open Balkans was absolutely not a project suggested by the State Department, it was a project suggested by Alex Soros and Vučić and Rama and that was it.

Now, under these conditions, 8 years after I had no function, I remember imposing sanctions for corruption on a man who had praised me more than anyone else for the fight against corruption. What was this? This was an injury to my dignity. I had closed my chapter for 8 years, no one had ever accused me, no one had ever sued me.

And this honorable man who I had respect for, comes out with this accusation. Then of course I was a man, but at a time when I was forgotten, I was a forgotten person in the international arena, I didn't have, 8 years, 8 years of immense time, free. He comes out and makes news with my sanctioning. And then I thought that, I will follow a judicial and media path, I will not lobby. I will not lobby and I have not spent a single penny. This remains the truth.

So, the judicial path, which was the path of a citizen who sought to have his dignity established in the courtroom. This angered him and his entourage even more, and then they took other measures, they tried to isolate me in a more, more inhuman way from all international institutions, they asked other countries to impose sanctions.

Fortunately, everyone, without exception, refused, both those who knew me and those who didn't, because this was a request without any legal or documentary support.

So why would I lobby? I thought... personally, in that administration, I had met most of them, including the president, more than once, twice or more. So I knew them. What can I say, take it away from me? No, I knew them.

And I chose that path, I do not regret it. It is unfortunate that the French judge, between the law and a step in history, chose political bureaucracy and closed the case, actually going to the third level, that the Secretary of State has immunity. Which is not true. There is no form of immunity for defamation because defamation is not anyone's state function" - said Berisha. /LAPSI.al
