Andi Bushati: Why did Rama's campaign against oligarchs arouse fear?

The “Flamingo Revolution” shook society’s way of thinking. Today, being one of the people who benefits from the autocrat is no longer seen as an honorable man, but risks becoming a hated character. This was proven by the wave of reaction against the millionaires of Rama’s court.

Në një muaj Rama ka arritur të mbledhë rreth vetes më shumë urrejtje se kushdo, gjë që u pa në simbolikën që shpërtheu në ditën e 35 të protestës

Although the government did everything to scare and discourage them, from the wild violence in the two protests in front of the parliament, to the tendency to block those who would come from abroad at the border, the 35th day of the protest was a magnificent celebration of the flamingo revolution. It was magnificent not only by the participation of tens of thousands of participants in the square but above all by the symbolism that showed that a majority of Albanians demand a final separation from Edi Rama, to the spicy speeches. Everything was summarized in the various forms of the slogan.

While Edi Rama has showered him with insults, threats and the rubber baton, the protesters responded with a series of gifts for his 63rd birthday.

A cake with the inscription "Rama TQR" and "Te Quiero Rama" also appeared in the square, where protesters blew out the candle with the number 0 while chanting "Rama resign."

The protesters also brought a coffin with the inscription "Rama's political archive". While the students knocked down and kicked a makeshift statue of the prime minister with the inscription "The last dictator", comparing it to the toppling of the bust of Enver Hoxha on February 20, 1991. "

We have brought down Rama with our creativity", said one protester. From time to time the square echoed with the chants "Many imprisonments for you, many imprisonments for Rama, many imprisonments for you".

A protester had brought Rama a prison uniform, a razor, and soap, which he suggested he share with Erion Veliaj.

"This is one of the best prison suits in Europe. It keeps you cool in the spring, very warm in the winter. Don't worry, we've thought of many other things. A soap, but you'll have to share it with Erion Veliaj. I've also brought you a bag of flour, because I know you'll miss baking a pie. I brought you flour straight from the villages of Korça. I've brought you a razor," he said.

This 35th protest showed that neither blackmail nor violence worked, and instead increased the momentum of the `flamingos' to march. The only new effect that was easily visible was the fact that with his behavior and attitude the prime minister is showing an unprecedented ability to gather resentment and anger around himself. Only in this way can the symbolism with his burning monument, with the coffin of political death and with the slogans "Rama TQR" be explained.
