Two people have been arrested in Fier and Lushnja, after they are suspected of causing fires in Eskaj and Hasturkas. Two elderly people are being investigated at large for other arson cases. It is learned that in Eskaj, police arrested a 60-year-old man, who was caught intentionally setting fire to a piece of land he had rented. A 25-year-old man was also arrested in the Divjakë-Karavasta protected area. He is suspected of causing the fire at the mouth of the Seman River, where the flames engulfed vegetation and a significant forest area.
Police also prosecuted two people, 71 and 77 years old. They are suspected of starting fires on their lands in Varibop, Fier, and Çërrile, Mallakastra. Due to strong winds, the flames got out of control and spread to the surface with vegetation.
