At least 11 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese state media. Nine people were killed after a strike destroyed a three-story building in Kfar Rumman. Two children were reported to be among the victims.
In another attack, two paramedics were killed after the vehicle they were travelling in was hit. The Israeli military said it was reviewing reports of casualties and the circumstances of the attacks.
The strikes come just a day after seven more people were killed in southern Lebanon. Israel said they were in response to Hezbollah drone attacks on Israeli troops. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun called the situation a “dangerous escalation” and warned that the U.S.-brokered ceasefire could be in jeopardy.
