She was going to buy land in Albania and disappeared in Greece, the Chinese

A terrifying twist comes to light in the case of the disappearance of 50-year-old Chinese woman, Yu Ting, who mysteriously disappeared four months ago on the Artemis. Her passport was found cut into 22 strips on the Attiko Alsos, a shocking discovery that further complicates the thriller.

The passport, a basic identification document, was found dumped last Sunday, scorched by the sun, suggesting it had been left at the scene for weeks. The missing woman’s husband, in his statements, expressed his surprise: “Some people walking their dog in the woods saw the pieces of the passport and notified the authorities. Why would they tear it up and throw it there, instead of burning it completely?”

This question stands like a light in the darkness. Who wanted to destroy her passport and, more importantly, why did they choose this unusual method?

Yu Ting's mobile phone was found in another location, in America Square, about 2.5 kilometers away.

"The location on America Square coincides more with her plan for that day. She had to go to that meeting," her husband emphasized, reinforcing the scenarios of the authorities' disorientation.

Anastasios Dougas, the husband's lawyer, emphasized another crucial point: The municipality had cleared the dry grass in the area before August 15. Therefore, the exact time when the document was thrown away takes on great importance. Forensic laboratories are expected to provide answers for possible DNA evidence, while the use of a document shredder, as the husband estimates, leads to thoughts of professional involvement.

And the developments do not stop. New finds, pieces of paper and double-sided tape, cut into strips, were recently found in Attiko Allos, near the passport office. At the same time, Yu Ting's mother-in-law was questioned again in late August, with questions focusing on a business trip she had made to Albania with her daughter-in-law.

The Yu Ting case remains an unsolved thriller that fascinates. With the mobile phone and passport in the hands of the authorities, the hope of finding another lead is rekindled. Will the investigators be able to put the pieces of this puzzle together and uncover the truth? The answer, it seems, lies in every small, fragmented detail.

The disappearance of Yu Ting

A 50-year-old Chinese national, named Yu Ting, has been missing since May 20 in Greece. Involved in suspicious meetings and transactions in Albania and Greece, the 50-year-old has alerted the Greek police, who are investigating several leads with a criminal background.

She said to me, "I'll bring you a Chinese woman who is a representative of many companies, many rich people who are looking for properties of all kinds, fields, houses, everything for investment." And I told her that I have some serious people who own hotels and real estate. That's how she put me in touch with Ting, who from what I understand had been in a relationship with the lady for a long time," he added.

Greek media found the Albanian, who confirmed that she had been working with Ting since 2022. As she said, they had shown more than 20 properties to Chinese investors, but without completing any transactions.

The sister of 50-year-old Yu Ting, speaking to Greek media, said: "She had received a residence permit, valid for one year, for Albania," emphasizing that she had told him in a conversation they had on April 29 that she wanted to go to Albania and had even told him that she would show him some plots of land there.

In another piece of information for Greek media, the 50-year-old Chinese woman is suspected of being involved in a business case involving the purchase of a gas station in central Athens. One of the two Chinese women involved in the transaction claims to have been defrauded by Ting and her partner.

“Yu Ting and my partner cheated me,” she says. “They asked me to work with them to buy a gas station. We had to invest 100,000 euros, which I borrowed from relatives and friends. But later they said I was not suitable as a partner and nothing happened.” /Taken from TCH
