The 14 protesters arrested during the September 1 rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office have been released from police custody, after the Tirana Court this Friday, September 4, declared their arrest illegal.
Immediately after the completion of the administrative procedures, the detainees left the premises of Police Station No. 3 in the capital. Outside the perimeter of the regions, dozens of citizens and supporters had gathered, who welcomed the released with ovations, calls and cheers.
The decision to release them came after the black squad rejected the claims of the Prosecution, which requested the security measure "obligation to appear" and the ban on entry to the territories of police stations 1, 2 and 3. Declaring the escort procedure illegal, the court ordered the immediate release from the cell without any coercive measures for all the arrested.
