The Turkish derby between Fenerbahce and Besiktas gave a moment of great tension between the former Juventus striker and the former Inter defender. The two, in addition to clashing with pushes and a fierce head-to-head confrontation, were insulted several times, speaking in Italian, and there was no shortage of extremely vulgar gestures. One of them in particular could cost Vlahovic disciplinary measures, who then minimized the incident after the final whistle.
The Serb was very happy to return to that fierce duel with his opponent. It was he who decided the match, scoring the final goal of 2-1, which allows him to reach the quota of 4 goals in the last two weeks. "Nothing special happened. These things can happen to anyone on the field," explained the striker, who had literally lost control with Skriniar a little earlier in the match. From the first minutes, the two faced each other very determinedly, with the home center back not sparing strong tackles on the striker.

The final clash came in the second half, when Vlahovic complained about a winger from Skriniar, drawing the referee's attention. A head-to-head clash of mutual shouts and pushes ensued, with the Serb ending up on the ground after exaggerating the consequences of a neck grab by the Slovak. The clashes continued with a very serious argument in Italian, accompanied by vulgar words. Teammates tried in vain to calm the bloodshed: not even Guendouzi could control the striker's nervousness.
The nervousness between Vlahovic and Skriniar did not arise suddenly, but was the result of a suffocating individual marking set by the Slovak center-back from the very first minutes. Skriniar constantly sought to prevent the Serbian striker from turning to face the goal, working hard with his arms and on the verge of tactical fouls. A consuming work that paid off in terms of nerves, but not in terms of the result, as Vlahovic still managed to find the decisive space to head the 2-1 goal.

A hand gesture by Vlahovic, who joined his index finger and thumb in a circle, while keeping the other three fingers raised, did not escape the cameras. It is a gesture that, in local culture, is considered extremely vulgar and offensive, used as a personal insult. In the past, other footballers in Turkey who have made the same gesture have been suspended for several matches. An ugly episode for both players, punished with a yellow card, but attention remains high on what could happen with the television evidence of the Serbian's gesture.
