Berisha: Tirana has never known such barbarity, Rama a fierce enemy of the

Sali Berisha shared a statement this afternoon regarding the youth protest in Tirana.

In a press conference, Berisha described it as an epic battle of students and high school students against Prime Minister Edi Rama, whom he considered a fierce enemy of the nation.

The Chief Democrat also condemned the police violence exercised against them, which, as he underlined, is even more barbaric than the events of the early 1990s.

The leader of the Democratic Party said that Saturday will be another day of protest and called for support for young people from all Albanians.

"As a parent, grandfather, citizen, but also a former president and former prime minister of the country. All of you parents and citizens, members of our diaspora wherever you are in the 4 corners of the country. Tomorrow is a very important and very special day. Since the 13th until today, in the streets and squares of Tirana, drug gangs in uniform have behaved in the most brutal way with barbaric acts against students and high school students of Tirana. They have mistreated, tortured, arrested and filled the police stations. Their barbarities on the fallen bodies of young people and students, breaking bones, hand bullets, grenades, tons of expired bear gas. Tirana has not known such barbarity against Albanian youth as in the 90s. Tomorrow, young people need the support of every Albanian more than ever for their epic battle. Tomorrow thousands of people from all over Europe are flooding towards Tirana. I invite "Every Albanian and the country's businesses, let's stand in solidarity tomorrow in Tirana with the students, who in this epic battle are protecting more than anything else their future in this country and their dream from a fierce enemy of the nation and the dignity of Albanians," said Berisha.
