Singer Aurela Gaçe has reacted on social media to the youth protests, while for days the country has been engulfed by youth protests against the government.
Through a message, the artist has raised concern about the loss of hope among young people to build a future in Albania, asking a series of questions about the reasons that push Albanians to leave the country and the responsibility for this situation.
"It's so hard to understand that the youth has lost hope in building a future here? Why are they leaving? Why do they want to leave? Who gives us the answer? Who is responsible?" writes Aurela Gaçe.
The singer's reaction comes at a time when youth protests have continued for several days, accompanied by clashes with the police and tensions on the streets of the capital.
To convey her message, Gaçe has chosen to share a part of the song "Zemërthyer" by the late Dr. Flori, whose verses express disappointment in politics, a sense of abandonment, and a lack of perspective.
"I am unrepresented, unrealized. I am betrayed, I am undervalued. I am not a market or a mathematician. O dirty politics, I am with blood, I am with soul. And when it starts to get bad, it goes all the way. Better an end with pain than endless pain. They see a small light, because there is nowhere worse to go. ONLY WITH FAITH IN GOD can this country be saved."
