The US Embassy in Tirana has issued a response this evening on the fifth day of student revolts over the protest taking place in the Albanian capital and across the country.
The embassy, in a brief statement on social media, calls for restraint and calm from all sides. It adds that the demonstrators have their rights, but they must express them peacefully without violent acts. According to them, violence and physical harm to others are not civic engagement.
