Arben Ahmetaj reacts: Rama has gone beyond the end of his cycle

Former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj declared live on 'Çim Peka LIVE' that the student protest will achieve its objective, describing it as the path towards liberating Albania from the drug state. Ahmetaj said that Edi Rama has entered political agony and that the confrontation is now between the 'path of darkness' and that of the protesting students.

Asked by journalist Çim Peka if he was afraid that the protest might die down, Ahmetaj replied that he had no concerns about this possibility. According to him, the protest has not only not died down, but has been revived, while Prime Minister Edi Rama has surpassed the end of his political cycle.

Çim Peka: The question actually doesn't make sense, but I'm asking it anyway, because it's clear that the protest wasn't stifled but rather revived. Are you afraid that the protest might be stifled?

Arben Ahmetaj: Thank you for the call and for the question, but I am not at all afraid that the protest will ever be drowned. We have discussed it together several times and I have told you that everything in this living world has its own cycle. And the head of the organization has already exceeded the end of its cycle. We are going through agony and the head of the organization is trying to pass this agony on to all of Albania. They started as a gentle bird, a flamingo in 140 days, and they will end it as an eagle. So the difference is very big.

A spectacular generation that has taught us all, it started carefully, with strong messages and is culminating in a revolt that translates into a very simple phrase: 'It can't take it anymore'. And today I was listening to some cuckoos that it has a habit of bringing out, and that speak a language that that generation doesn't understand. Even we who are of the same generation as them, old, and we don't understand them anymore. You know what? I was listening to one of the cuckoos today and I remembered a very interesting poem by Bertolt Brecht, 'The Solution'.

In 1953, the communist government of East Germany distributed a leaflet saying that the people had lost the trust of the government. And Bertolt Brecht wrote a poem where he quoted at the end: 'Well, wouldn't it be simpler in this case to disperse the people?' And these people come out and say that the people have lost the trust of the government. So the answer to you, honorable Mr. Peka: if the protest dies, my answer is that I have no fear that the protest will go to the right destination.

In liberating Albania from a narco-state that has captured all institutions. It has killed parliamentarism, seized justice from A to Z, and turned Albania into an operational center, a platform that even Ecuador would envy, for drug cartels.

Çim Peka: Mr. Ahmetaj, of all of us in the studio, you know him best because you were his close collaborator. I know him as a coward, to be honest, it's not that I know him a little. Is he that brave or is he so deeply immersed that it's impossible for him to escape?

Arben Ahmetaj: Sorry, it's not... with respect to the entire panel, it's no longer a matter of fear. Mr. Peka, the head of the organization has only one path. And there is no turning back. Because of the irreversible plunge into the darkness that he built and carefully woven at the expense of all Albanians and us.

While the protest has a path. And here the discussion is: will the path of darkness win or will the path of students and protest win? Be convinced, Mr. Peka, that the path of protest and students will win.

Veton Surroi: The crisis in Albania in seven points

One solution would be to create the legal and political conditions for free and fair elections next year. For the elections to produce a way out of the crisis, a special package of electoral guarantees should be prepared that, among other things, would limit in advance the influence of illicit money, the misuse of state resources, and inequality in access to the media.
