Juventus struggled in the first half, but then raised their game and secured their second win in as many games in the Europa League. The Bianconeri found themselves at a disadvantage in the 18th minute, after a goal by Hugo Alvarez, who fired a free kick towards the goal from just a few meters. Coach Spalletti's team tried to react and found the equalizer 1-1 in the 58th minute with Woltemade, who took advantage of a serious mistake by Marcos Alonso and sent the ball into the net. The victory was sealed by Kolo Muani's second consecutive goal, scored after extra time had begun.
Juventus started the match badly at the “Balaidos” and played a first half at an extremely slow pace. In the 18th minute, Celta took the lead, with Hugo Alvarez, who received a pass from Swedberg in the center of the area and beat goalkeeper Vicario. Coach Spalletti's team reacted timidly and, in the 28th minute, Koopmeiners failed to control the ball, although this action would have created the opportunity to shoot free towards the goal. The first real chance for the black and whites came in the 40th minute, when Woltemade shot over the crossbar from a favorable position.
In the second half, another Juventus emerges, although dangerous chances do not come easily. Thus, in the 58th minute, a gift from Marcos Alonso, who passes the ball with his chest to Woltemade, allows the Bianconeri to equalize at 1-1. The German striker finds the ball on his right foot, just a few meters from goalkeeper Radu, and he simply has to send it into the net. The pace is not high at all and both teams seem to be satisfied with the equalizer, until the 88th minute, when Nico Gonzalez approaches the goal 2-1 with an arched shot with his left foot inside the penalty area. The winning goal comes a few minutes later with Kolo Muani, who heads into the net a cross from Cambiaso. The second victory in two matches for Juventus, which climbs to 6 points at this stage of the league.
SALZBURG 0-4 MILAN
The first victory for Ruben Amorim's Milan in the Europa League. In the second round, the Rossoneri triumph convincingly 4-0 away against Salzburg. From the first minutes, the guests look in shape, while the collaboration between Bartesaghi and Cisse works well. Hutchinson is also quite active and, in the 15th minute, becomes the protagonist: he sends a soft cross from the right towards the area, where Cisse penetrates and scores with his head the goal of the 1-0 advantage. Shortly after half an hour of play, the Rossoneri's second goal comes: Rabiot gives an excellent diagonal pass to Bartesaghi, who with one touch turns the ball inside the area, where Cisse sends it into the net with his left foot, in stoppage time, achieving the double in the 32nd minute. The Austrians fail to react and the first half ends without any further emotions.
At the start of the second half, the former Catanzaro player decided to take the ball of the match with him: in the 49th minute, Rabiot made a brilliant run down the left wing and sent a precise cross into the centre for Alphadjo Cisse, who scored his third goal. Thus, he became the youngest Italian to score three goals in a European match. In the 60th minute, Amorim started the wave of substitutions, activating Modric, Pulisic, Ramos, Diawara, who made his debut for the first time, as well as Terracciano. Two of them became protagonists at the end of the match: in the 72nd minute, Gonçalo Ramos scored the fourth goal with his left foot, after a ball beautifully recovered in the opposing midfield by Jashari, while in the 83rd minute, Terracciano was punished with a straight red card for a foul as the last player in defence. The home team tries to score at least the consolation goal, having the numerical advantage, but fails. Milan wins 4-0 in Salzburg and secures the first three points in the Europa League.
