The Democratic Party has strongly condemned the statement of the Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Snezhana Paunovic, calling it racist and anti-Albanian.
In a statement to the media, the DP spokesperson, Floriana Garo, said that the minister's statement, in which she states that "if she were in Slobodan Milosevic's place in 1998, she would have ethnically cleansed Kosovo", constitutes an open incitement to hatred and glorification of genocide. According to the Democratic Party, with this statement Paunovic expresses regret that the Milosevic regime failed to expel Albanians from Kosovo during the war.
The DP also accuses Prime Minister Edi Rama and the government of lacking a response to, as it calls it, an inhumane statement that contradicts the fundamental principles of human rights.
At the end of the reaction, the Democratic Party demands that Snezhana Paunovic be declared "non grata" in Albania and indicted for inciting genocide, describing these as the only measures she deserves.
Statement by the spokesperson of the Democratic Party, Floriana Garo
These days, an ultra-racist and anti-Albanian statement by the Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Snezhana Paunovic, in the government of Edi Rama's boss, Aleksandar Vučić, has been circulating in the media.
In this statement, she states: “If I were in Slobodan Milosevic’s place in 1998, I would have ethnically cleansed Kosovo.”
With this statement, this figure of Serbian ultranationalism expresses regret that the executioner of the Balkans, Slobodan Milosevic, with his "Horseback" operation and the latest Serbian genocide against Albanians, failed to expel them from their millennia-old lands.
The Democratic Party strongly condemns the racist and anti-Albanian statement of this representative of primitive Serbian ultranationalism, as well as the stance of Edi Rama and his narco-government in the face of such inhumane and hate-inciting statements, which contradict the fundamental principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Declaring her persona non grata and indicting her for inciting genocide are the only positions she deserves.
