Despite the verifications initiated, the General Director of the State Police has ordered the immediate suspension from duty of four Police employees, as well as the Chief of Order at Police Station No. 1, Deputy Commissioner FK. The Directorate of Professional Standards in the State Police has launched a disciplinary investigation against them.
Also, by order of the Director General, a special group has been established, under the direction of the Directorate of Professional Standards, to verify and analyze all actions of Police employees, from the beginning to the end of the rally, as well as the implementation of standard work procedures. Any employee who has violated procedures or exceeded their competences will be held accountable.
Meanwhile, the Police Supervision Agency, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, has launched investigations into the case.
The State Police emphasizes that the violent acts that have been taking place for hours in the capital, including the damage, destruction and burning of property, have nothing to do with the peaceful exercise of the right to protest and cannot be justified under any circumstances.
The State Police calls on masked individuals and those who commit acts of violence and destruction to stop immediately, as they will face the force of the law.
The State Police also asks citizens to distance themselves from violent individuals, to guarantee their safety.
