The Assembly convenes today at 10:00, on a day that takes place against the backdrop of the protests of the last two days in the capital and the tensions registered near several institutions. The day before, the rallies were moved near the Prime Minister's Office, the Assembly, the Constitutional Court, several ministries and the Bank of Albania. At the building of the Presidency of the Assembly, there was damage to the entrance and to some windows.
In this climate, today's session foresees four interpellations. The DP has summoned the Minister of Interior, Ervin Demo, for the police reaction during the protests. Also on the agenda are interpellations with the Minister of Infrastructure, Enea Karakaçi, for the Milot-Balldre highway and the floating thermal power plants in Vlora, as well as with the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, for measures against price increases. The Assembly will also review six draft laws and the establishment of a Special Commission for the second phase of the Administrative-Territorial Reform, which will deal with the review of the competencies of municipalities.
