The 83rd protest was held this Friday in the center of Tirana. Protesters initially gathered in "Skënderbej" Square, then continued their march towards the Prime Minister's Office.
With banners and slogans against the government, the protesters demanded the removal of the old political class and the resignation of the government.
A caretaker government is the alternative they seek, while they say that the tent will welcome even more protesters to the square, as citizens return from vacation and join those who continue to take to the streets.
Two days ago, the protest coordination group addressed the EU Delegation to Albania and other European and international institutions, requesting the sending of independent observers to the protests, in order to document and verify the treatment of protesters by the authorities. ©LAPSI.al
