The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reacted by expressing regret over the absence of the National Anthem at an event in Pustec, which was also attended by the Prime Minister of North Macedonia. Through a reaction, the MFA emphasizes that, although the event was organized by a local association, the presence of high-ranking institutional representatives and local elected officials gave the event a special public dimension.
According to the ministry, the non-inclusion of the Albanian National Anthem constitutes a serious omission and a deviation from the rules of protocol and institutional etiquette. "Respect for national symbols should not be a matter of politics or interpretation. It is part of institutional ethics, protocol and above all mutual respect, especially in a space where different communities and identities coexist," the Foreign Ministry's response states, among other things.
