Kosovo/ PDK blocks access to the Government for the seventh day, demands

The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has continued its action in front of the Kosovo Government building for the seventh consecutive day, blocking the entrance in protest against the non-continuation of the constitutive session of the Assembly. Today's action was also joined by deputies from the Alliance, while PDK assembly members from the Municipality of Lipjan also participated.

Through this action, PDK and the Alliance demand the continuation of the constitutive session and the constitution of the Assembly, considering the return of the process to the Assembly as necessary for the functioning of the institutions. PDK assembly member from Lipjan, Yllëza Bedrolli, called on the deputies of the Vetëvendosje Movement to return to the Assembly and begin the process of forming the institutions.

"I invite MP Kurti and the Vetevendosje Movement to come and open the doors of the Parliament from today and start forming the institutions, not to block them and, above all, not to violate the Constitution, because the Constitution must be above any political interest," declared Bedrolli. Meanwhile, the Alliance MP, Besnik Tahiri, said that the action aims to raise civic and political awareness regarding what he considers constitutional violations in the country. PDK and the Alliance have announced the continuation of the action until the constitutive session resumes and the institutional process is unblocked.

Instead of taking care of buildings that threaten citizens aesthetically and physically, the Prime Minister and his Municipality in Durrës order millions of euros to be spent on building concrete walls that hide the sea and disfigure the city.
