An incident occurred this Thursday in the village of Vuno. Journalist and publicist Arjan Konomi clashed with bodyguards and police forces accompanying Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Konomi is a resident of Vunoi and often complains on social media about the behavior of the state police who fine citizens for parking their vehicles.
This Thursday, Prime Minister Edi Rama stopped for a coffee in this village, and Konomi said that his escort had stayed in the area where citizens are prohibited from entering.
According to a statement he made on social media, Rama called him to clarify, but was faced with aggressive behavior from his wife Linda Rama.
Konomi then says he was escorted to the Himara police station where he was held for several hours.
The leader of the "Albania Becomes" party, Adriatik Lapaj, has also reacted to this incident, stating that he strongly condemns "the illegal behavior of the Prime Minister's companions, but also of Mr. Rama himself, who allows himself rights above the law, even the arbitrary escorting of a citizen regardless of who he is!" ©LAPSI.al
