Fire in Milot, flames approaching homes

The situation created by the fire in Milot has worsened in recent minutes.

The flames have moved significantly closer to several homes, increasing the risk of the fire spreading to residential areas.

The operation to isolate and extinguish the flames continues on the ground, while the intervention is also being carried out from the air with two helicopters. Around 20 army forces are engaged in the operation, along with the fire services of Kurbin, Lezha, Kamza and Vora.

The situation is made more difficult by the density of the pine forest, which favors the rapid spread of flames and prevents the intervention of forces in some areas.

Forces on the ground are focusing on isolating the fires and preventing the fire from spreading towards homes.
