A fire has engulfed the forest massif above the town of Milot, in the Kurbin Municipality, causing concern due to the rapid spread of the flames.
Dense vegetation and difficult terrain are favoring the fire's advance, while smoke and flames have approached residential areas, increasing the risk to residents and nearby facilities.
The firefighting forces of the Kurbin Municipality, supported by the firefighters of Lezha and Kamza, as well as other emergency structures, are on the scene. The forces are working to isolate and extinguish the flames.
According to the prefect of Lezha, Taulant Malshi, who is at the scene, air intervention has also begun. Malshi stressed that the terrain is extremely difficult, while the dense presence of vegetation is favoring the rapid spread of the fire, especially in the area near homes.
Forces on the ground continue their efforts to bring the situation under control and prevent the flames from spreading to residential areas.
