
The Saranda Court has issued security measures for 11 people arrested after the murder of a Portuguese tourist in a bar in Ksamil.
The hearing began around 12:00 this Friday and lasted about 9 hours until the decision was made.
The court remanded 29-year-old Sokrat Vata, accused of being the perpetrator of the crime, and the Turkish couple who helped him escape, in prison indefinitely.
45 days in prison were given to 3 waiters, while another one and the security guards were given the measure "obligation to appear".
MEASURES GIVEN BY THE COURT
1. Sokrat Lipan alias Sokrat Vata – (Arrest in prison) the suspected perpetrator of the crime, arrested.
2. Nuh Mahmutoglu – (Arrest in prison) Turkish citizen, arrested; suspected of assisting the perpetrator in his escape attempt.
3. Ezgi Perlak – (Arrest in prison) Turkish citizen, arrested; suspected of aiding the perpetrator in his escape attempt.
4. Serxhi Selimi – (Arrest in prison for 45 days) waiter in a bar.
5. Ervis Bunçi – (Arrest in prison for 45 days) waiter in a bar.
6. Ildi Cekani – (Arrest in prison for 45 days) waiter in a bar.
7. Murat Zhabina – (Obligation to appear) waiter at the bar.
8. Miosid Matushaj – (Compulsion to appear) Police officer in Gjirokastra; arrested, but not yet suspended from duty.
9. Luciano Seferi – (Compulsion to appear) employee of the Prison Police in Fier; arrested, but not yet suspended from duty.
10. Romeo Shehu – (Compulsion to appear) municipal police officer in Gjirokastra; arrested and suspended from duty.
11. Kristi Koshi – (Compulsion to appear) arrested; his function or place of work is unknown.
12. David Heurtevent – customer at the bar, wanted as an accomplice in crime.
13. Bekim Bulica – owner of the bar, wanted for concealing the crime.
