Florjan Vuka, also known by the surname Vathaj, is being extradited from Greece to Albania. He was declared wanted by the Special Prosecution Office as part of Jetmir Papa's criminal group for international drug trafficking.
Vuka is expected to appear before the Special Court for the assessment of the conditions of the security measure. Alma Kodraliu has been designated by electronic lottery as the judge who will decide whether to continue the "prison arrest" measure previously imposed on Vuka, or whether to assign a more lenient measure than that.
The criminal group, which operated in Latin America, Belgium and the Netherlands and where in at least 8 episodes during the years 2019-2021 they trafficked large amounts of cocaine, is still being investigated by prosecutor Alfred Shehu. According to the Special Prosecution Office, members of this group have distributed in several episodes about 7.5 tons of cocaine from Latin America to Europe.
