
Tirana Police have reacted after reports of the rape of several Italian tourists in the center of the capital. According to the police, the incident occurred on the evening of July 29, in the back of the Palace of Culture. The police explain that, after being notified of a conflict, officers from Commissariat No. 1 arrived at the scene and found the Italian citizen GM, with superficial injuries, as well as his two friends.
According to the report, the young man was initially helped by municipal police officers. He was then transported for medical assistance. Police say the tourist was conscious and out of danger. He left on his own accord without completing the examinations and without notifying the medical staff. According to the police, the Italian citizen refused to file a report about the conflict and the people who had harmed him. However, the police say that the investigation team continued verifications to identify the people involved and fully document the case.
