A fire broke out today in two apartments in the "Çlirim" neighborhood in the city of Berat. The fire initially started in the yard of these two uninhabited houses and then spread rapidly, favored by high temperatures and warm winds.
It is reported that it was the residents who notified the firefighters, who arrived in the area with 3 vehicles, while the police force also arrived to assist them. The fire also spread to the roof of a cultural monument house, but the timely intervention of the firefighters quickly localized the flames, making it possible to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters are still in the area to monitor the fires and prevent them from re-igniting. A vehicle was also near the fire, which was damaged in the front, but fortunately was moved from the scene. According to fire sources at the scene, the fire is suspected to have been started intentionally.
