The Ministry of Defense informs that, as of 20:00 on August 13, 2026, a total of 38 fires were reported during the day.
Currently, 18 outbreaks are being monitored, of which 14 are active, 2 are under monitoring, and 2 are under control.
To cope with the situation, a broad and coordinated commitment of Civil Protection structures at local and central level continues. The Armed Forces alone have engaged 309 personnel, 22 vehicles, 1 motor vehicle, 3 ambulances, 9 fire engines, 3 helicopters and 2 Air Tractor aircraft.
In Tirana, work continues in Dajt and in the Priskë e Madhe–Gurrë–Farkë–Lundë area, with the commitment of the MZSH, ADZM, volunteers and air support from the FA. Despite the terrain and previous spread, there is no risk to residential areas.
In Kruja, the intervention of operational forces and the Armed Forces, supported by 1 helicopter, has made it possible to bring the fire in the Abaze neighborhood under control, while in Boya, Krastë and Halil there are no longer any active fires reported.
The largest engagement continues in Gurë-Lura, Dibër, where 120 municipal forces, 57 AF personnel, 15 police forces, 15 volunteers and 9 ADZM employees are concentrated, supported by 2 Air Tractor aircraft. Thanks to the coordinated intervention, the perimeter near the houses has been placed under control and the risk of their burning has been avoided, while work continues in the other two directions. MZSH, municipal forces and the Selishtë administrative unit are also operating in Qafë e Helme.
In Përmet, work continues in Nëmerçka and Dhëmbel, in difficult terrain, but without danger to residential areas.
In Morava, Devoll, the intervention of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has made it possible to bring the situation under control.
In Troja, Mirdita, 30 members of the Armed Forces have joined the operation, in addition to the MZSH, municipal forces, police and volunteers.
In Shkodra, work continues in Rrencë and Goraj-Budishtë, where the latter is moving towards isolation and does not pose a risk to homes, while the outbreak in Kryez is under control.
In Elbasan, operations continue in Dardhë, Lugaxhi and Shala; in Lugaxhi, the MZSH, forestry, ASHP, municipal forces and 30 volunteers have been engaged, without risk to residential areas supported by the Armed Forces.
Meanwhile, in Finiq, the outbreaks in Dhivër and Rumanxë have been completely extinguished, while the one in Dhrovjan is under control, reflecting the effectiveness of the combined ground and air intervention.
The National Civil Protection Agency continues to continuously monitor the situation throughout the country, in close coordination with prefectures, municipalities and all structures of the Civil Protection system.
Operational capacities remain engaged in the field and ready to intervene where the situation requires, with priority given to protecting the lives, homes and property of citizens.
