The fire situation in the areas surrounding Tirana continues to be problematic. Since the early hours of the morning, helicopters and firefighting forces have been concentrated in the Surrel area, where Prime Minister Edi Rama's apartment is located.
Meanwhile, the intensity of the flames has been high in Lundë, Priska, as well as in areas of Kruja, where the fires continue to be active and risk spreading further.
Residents of the affected areas say that interventions on the ground have been delayed, while they require more forces and resources to cope with the situation.
The concentration of operations in Surrel has raised questions about how emergency forces and equipment are being distributed on the ground, at a time when other areas are also facing high intensity fires.
