A serious incident occurred on the outskirts of the village of Delisufaj in Lushnja, where two sisters tragically lost their lives after the vehicle they were traveling in fell into an irrigation canal.
According to initial reports, the vehicle the two women were traveling in was unable to enter the bridge and ended up in the canal. The canal was filled with water, and the current swept the vehicle under the bridge.
As a result, the two sisters with the initials MH and F.Xh., around 50 years old, were unable to get out of the vehicle and died from drowning.
Emergency services immediately arrived at the scene. Ambulance teams were able to remove the bodies and transport them to the Lushnja morgue.
Meanwhile, the investigation team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify the causes and circumstances of this tragedy. /LAPSI.al
