The police have arrested the suspected perpetrator of an arson attack in the village of Lekaj in Rrogozhina, where as a result of the spread of flames, around 250 olive trees and various fruit trees were burned. According to the police report, the services of the Kavaja Police Commissariat intervened immediately after receiving the report of the fire, in cooperation with the firefighting forces, making it possible to isolate the flames that were also endangering the homes in the area.
During the investigation, the investigation team found that there were fires in the yard of citizen NU's apartment, while another fire was found in the back of the apartment, from which it is suspected that the flames spread and engulfed the area with olive trees and other fruit crops. At the end of the first investigative actions, the Crime Investigation specialists arrested citizen NU, a resident of the village of Lekaj, in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offense of "Destruction of property by fire".
