Fourteen fires have been reported over the last 12 hours in the country's territory, while five of them remain active, the Media and Information Agency (MIA) announced.
19 firefighting vehicles, 182 operational forces, three helicopters and an Air Force aircraft have been deployed to manage the situation and intervene on the ground.
In Dajt, Tirana, work continues to extinguish the fire, while in the village of Riban, Mallakastra, the fire continues with low intensity inside the forest massif.
The coordinated intervention from land and air has removed the danger to the inhabited areas. During the operation, 15 families were temporarily evacuated. 1 helicopter and 1 Air Force aircraft were deployed in support of the operation.
In the village of Shqiponjë in Prrenjas, the fire is under control and work continues on the final extinguishing.
The outbreaks in Vërzhezhe, Skrapar, and Krekëz, Himara, are also under control, while operational structures continue monitoring.
In Stegopull-Selckë, in the territory of the municipalities of Libohova and Dropull, work continues to isolate the fire. The mountainous and rocky terrain is making it difficult for the forces to intervene.
According to MIA, about 1.5 hectares of grass, shrubs and forest vegetation have been affected by the fires, while the area affected by the active fires is still being assessed.
