The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, said that his party renounces any demand for the post of speaker of parliament, president and participation in the Government, emphasizing that the Vetëvendosje Movement can keep all of them. However, for political analyst, Artan Muhaxhiri, the offer made by the leader of the LDK does not offer a realistic and normal solution for getting out of the political crisis.
"Since LVV does not consider that it needs LDK as a partner, then it will not have decorum for its power either. We will remain in opposition and exercise this responsibility with dignity," Abdixhiku said at a press conference.
However, Abdixhiku said that the LDK will contribute to the presidential issue, saying that they have the conditions for the new head of state.
According to him, the new president must defend the Republic and constitutionality.
"From this moment on, LVV can choose stability through a president that we co-elect or we can lead the country towards a new crisis," he said, accusing Albin Kurti's LVV of not accepting "minimum compromise."
He said that the LDK will be part of the presidential election because if they do not participate in the vote, the country will go to elections because with the 61 votes of the LVV, the president "cannot be elected".
"Let's elect a president who serves the Republic, non-partisan, not a karate president," he said, adding that party proposals will be rejected.
"Unilateral proposals are rejectable," he said, adding that the name of the new president should be announced after detailed discussions between the parties.
LDK was the only party that agreed to negotiate with LVV, the winner of the June elections.
But, even after several meetings, Kurti and Abdixhiku did not reach an agreement.
Abdixhiku said that Kurti offered him the post of deputy prime minister and three ministries, but the offer was not accepted, adding that the LDK had requested the post of president and participation in the executive.
"Since LVV does not consider that it needs LDK as a partner, then it will not have the decorum for its power either," said Abdixhiku.
He demanded that the Assembly be constituted without delay and that the LVV form the country's new Government.
Kosovo is in a new institutional impasse after the early elections of June 7.
The Assembly has not yet been constituted, although the 30-day deadline for completing this process expired on August 7.
The Vetevendosje Movement has demanded that a political agreement be reached before the session continues, especially on the election of the next president, while the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Alliance insist that the Assembly be constituted without conditioning this process on the issue of the president.

Analisti politik, Artan Muhaxhiri, e vlerëson si “të çuditshëm” dhe “të vonuar” ofertën e Abdixhikut për çështjen e presidentit, duke vlerësuar se nuk po shkohet drejt një zgjidhjeje.
“Puna më e mirë që zoti Abdixhiku do të bënte është që të takohet me liderë të tjerë opozitarë dhe kësisoj ta krijonin një front të përbashkët, pakrahasueshëm më të fuqishëm sesa partitë opozitare veç e veç”, thotë Muhaxhiri, duke vlerësuar se Abdixhiku është larguar si nga partitë e tjera opozitare, ashtu edhe nga Kurti, dhe kjo situatë, “i shkon në favor” LVV-së.
Duke folur për Radion Evropa e Lirë, Muhaxhiri thotë se oferta për një president jopartiak veçse ka qenë, prandaj ai pyet pse është dashur që të mbahen takime mes LDK-së dhe LVV-së.
“Pra, nuk ka qenë nevoja që të humbet kaq shumë kohë dhe të mbahen të gjitha ato takime nëse prapëseprapë do të kthehemi në pikën fillestare”, thotë Muhaxhiri.
“Kompromisi maksimal që mund ta bëjë zoti Kurti është që ta japë kryetarin e Parlamentit, dhe këtë po e thonë edhe gjatë këtyre ditëve, dhe kjo ofertë e zotit Abdixhiku me siguri do të jetë krejtësisht e papranueshme për zotin Kurti. Por, edhe në ndonjë skenar tjetër do të jetë shumë vështirë që të gjendet një kandidaturë e cila do t'i plotësonte këto kërkesa. Po them, kjo është një ofertë e vonuar e zotit Abdixhiku sepse nuk kontribuon në gjetjen e një zgjidhje realiste dhe normale”, shton ai.
Ai madje e vlerëson si “gabim të madh” qëndrimin se LDK do të kontribuojë për zgjedhjen e presidentit, me kushte, duke u shprehur se Abdixhiku “nuk është në pozitë që të diktojë kushte, pasi ka probleme të mëdha brenda LDK-së dhe nuk mund t’i garantojë të 18 votat e deputetëve” nëse arrihet pajtim me LVV-në për kreun e shtetit.
Sipas tij, LDK-ja, Partia Demokratike dhe Aleanca secila kanë nga një ide të ndryshme për daljen nga kriza. Më e logjikshme do të ishte nëse këto tri parti krijojnë një ide të përafërt bashkëpunimi dhe në mënyrë që t’i kundërvihen me opsione apo alternativa Kurtit, vlerëson Muhaxhiri.
Nëse këto parti arrijnë të gjejnë një kandidaturë të denjë për presidenti, thotë ai, atëherë një gjë e tillë do të shndërrohej në presion politik dhe publik ndaj Kurtit.
"Because then the discourse will change and the entire narrative about the president's issue, so the entire battle over the president's issue would take a different, clearer direction," says Muhaxhiri, adding that this would potentially force Kurti to change his position.
Even if they do not reach any unity on the issue of the president, Muhaxhiri believes that opposition parties should meet and create a sense of trust because otherwise, according to him, they will "hardly be able to challenge" Kurti.
