A series of suspected arson fires were recorded in the early hours of the morning in Durrës. A total of 10 garbage bins were burned and three parked vehicles were damaged. The first fire broke out on “Enver Velja” street, near the “Kushtrimi i Lirisë” school. The flames engulfed eight bins and then spread to three cars parked nearby. A little later, two more bins were burned on “Mujo Ulqinaku” street.
Firefighters intervened and brought the flames under control. Preliminary data suggests that the fires were intentional and may have been caused by the same person. Police are working to identify the perpetrator and fully investigate the incident.
